How to use the routine maskob.f? 9 years 4 months ago #17772

Hi everyone,

I'm doing a model where I want to have some islands, in order to compare two simulations with islands and without islands. I already did it by generating two differents meshes, using some closes hardlines to create the islands.

I juste see the the routine maskob allow to do the same thing on one mesh. However, I don't understand how I have to specify the boundaries of the islands I want to create. I have some shapefiles with the coordinates of the points which are into the islands.

Is it possible to read directly the boundaries of the islands in the shapefils (or in a .xyz or .i2s file)? I don't know what is the "AT" variable.

Regards,

Arthur

Hi

With maskob, you don't have to define the boundaries, it's automatically done by Telemac. You just have to define which elements are masked.

So you have to add the subroutine maskob in a local Fortran file and then make a search for all the elements inside the island shapefile and mask them.

Think to add the dedicated keyword 'Elements masked by users'

AT is the variable which represent the time of the simulation in telemac.
