open TELEMAC-MASCARET The mathematically superior suite of solvers

Hi,

I am new to Telemac and am hoping to use ARTEMIS for some wave simulation studies.

I have successfully downloaded Telemac and used v7p2r2 to run some examples in telemac2d using the command propmt (as advised in the link below)

However when I try to run examples in artemis e.g. the "port" example, I come up with the following error.

Is there a significant difference in way that artemis is run through the command prompt vs telemac2d?

Hello,

According to the wiki article you posted, and assuming you haven't messed with the telemac installation directories, you should execute the following commnand
cd C:\opentelemac-mascaret\v7p2r2\examples\artemis\port
and then execute: artemis.py art_delft-harbour.cas

Alternativelly you can overide the command to change the directory and istead:
1) open the telemac7p2r2 command prompt
2) move in the directory where the art_delft-harbour.cas is located
3) write artemis.py (leave a space) and then drag and drop the .cas file in the cmd.

Hi,

Here is that steering file.

Since I noticed this problem, another strange thing has happened. When I try to run telemac 2d examples I get the artemis failure message come up. Furthermore I deleted the shortcut to command prompt on my desktop and tried to re-load it. as per instructions here

however when I execture the compileTELEMAC.py command I get the same ARTEMIS choix de langue error.

Unfortunately this doesn't work.

Furthermore, as i mentioned above, this "choix de langue" error message seems to be coming up even when I try to run exmples outside the artemis suite, e.g. telemac2d.py examples

Could you list the content of the temporary folder ?

I have the following files:

ARTDICO
ARTCAS
art_delft-harbour.cas.pre.fzip

The first two seem empty, the pr.fzip file is attached

There is also another serafin file (i'm not quite sure whether this is a results file of not)
f2d_delft-harbour.slf

Hope this is what you mean

They should not be empty.

I would suggest trying v7p3.

Thanks for advising on this Will run through with v7p3 and see if I can make better progress
