Dear all:
My name is Chidambaram, and just a beginner in this community. I am facing some problem in generating "Finite element grid" using Blue Kenue for the Bay of Bengal region. I followed all the steps given in the Blue Kenue tutorial manual, and even could successfully generate the example grids.
But when I started generating the actual grid that I require for the Bay of Bengal region, it is found that after grid generation the boundary of the grid is raised above the plane of boundary file as well as the rest of the grids in the study domain. For me, it looks like a container. After interpolating the ETOPO 1 bathymetry data to this grid, I could see that the grid becomes long lines at the boundary in a 3D view, but at the same time the grid seems to be perfect in a 2D view. I could not understand why it is so. Even I am not sure whether the grid I generated is okay or not for numerical.
.
I am also attaching the 2D view of grid file before interpolating bathymetry over it (file name: 2D_View_Before_Interpolation.jpg), 3D view of grid file before bathymetry interpolating over it (file name: 3D_View_Before_Interpolation.jpg ), 2D view of grid file after bathymetry interpolating over it (file name: 2D_View_After_Interpolation.jpg), 3D view of grid file after bathymetry interpolating over it (file name: 3D_View_After_Interpolation.jpg )
Kindly look into the attached file 3D_View_After_Interpolation.jpg where I am getting the error.
I would very highly appreciate if someone can give useful tips on it.
Please give me some suggestions.
