Hi Jonathan,

A matlab file (*.mat) is a set of commands. Meaning that the program called Matlab will read the commands from the file (*.mat) and perform some actions based on what commands are found.

It is unclear to me what commands are in your (*.mat) file. If there is some data in your file along with some commands, then yes, you will be able to create a file based on your data. All depends on what you have in your hand
