While pre-processing and the calculation itself is quite doable with the existing tools, there is still a lack of a proper postprocessing tool.
For engineers not working in research environments, it would be great to be able to do post processing in GIS - e.g. QGIS.
But Crayfish / the MDAL does not support Selafin files anymore in the current version. Artelia seems to have no plans to upgrade PostTelemac (which was quite a capable post plugin) to make it work with the current QGIS versions - effectively closing down the plugin (unless people keep working with outdated QGIS versions). So when the QGIS LTR switches to the 3.x-Versions, there will be no easy way anymore to do the postprocessing in GIS (well, you can always export raster files from BK, but is that a good workflow?).
And doing the output analysis and mapping with BlueKenue is just not very good, as it lacks the capabilities for mapping.
Are there any plans to implement some QGIS plugin or include a file converter from Serafin to some more widespread output format? Or is there already some way to get the files into QGIS which I didn't find?
